International Forum FRANCONOMICS IV - 2022 “Circular Economy and Cooperation Opportunities in Francophone Space”
Following the success of previous years, the International Francophone Institute (VNU-IFI), the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), and the Association of Francophone Universities (AUF) will co-organize the Franconomics-2022 International Forum on " Circular economy and opportunities for cooperation in the Francophone space” with the companionship of the Institute for African and Middle Eastern Studies (IAMES) - Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, French Institute in Hanoi (IFV), French Institute of Research and Development (IRD) and Senghor University (Egypt).

In the context of increasingly depleted natural resources, potential political fluctuations leading to the energy crisis, warming due to the greenhouse effect, etc., the circular economy is a development model that helps transform socioeconomic status to sustainable production and consumption. Different from the traditional economy, a circular economy is a system where, right from the design of materials, products, operating processes and business models, they are all geared towards using renewable energy, eliminating demand for renewable energy as well as the use of chemicals and hazardous waste. The circular economy adds value to businesses, reduces resource exploitation, reduces waste treatment costs, and reduces environmental pollution.

The circular economy perspective is emphasized in the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, the Strategy "Socio-economic development in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045", which affirms that "encourage development circular economic model for integration and efficient use of the output of the production process”.

Franconomics-2022 aims to clarify the concept of the circular economy, the underlying technologies and the core success factors for realizing the circular economy; analyze opportunities for international cooperation to develop the circular economy through the spillover forms of circular economic models suitable for the diverse economies of the Francophonie.
